Positions Currently Required
Reidco Metal Industries is looking to expand our Engineering team! This is a full-time permanent role in a busy office environment in our new state-of-the-art building.

We are looking to add to our engineering team. This position reports to the engineering manager. This role will primarily support the engineering team with setting up new parts, preparing work order folders containing shop instructions, revising parts when requested by our customers and working on special projects as required. We plan to add someone with metal manufacturing knowledge to our team. We are always looking to improve what we are doing and being knowledgeable in continuous improvement is a strong asset.
As Reidco supplies to the defense industry, candidates must be able to be controlled goods certified and pass a security check.
Job Responsibilities:
Engineering:
Creating Solidworks sheet metal CAD models for programming
Creating Solidworks shop drawings from CAD files
Programming files for laser cutting and turret punch presses
Updating drawings/models
Rev changes for various customers
Create bills of materials and job routing in ERP system
Create shop packages for production
Other duties as required.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Requirements:
Familiarity with Solidworks sheet metal

Effectively communicate with lead hands, supervisors and management
Knowledge of MS Office suite (Access, Excel, Outlook and Teams)

Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, or a similar field

Reidco is looking to hire an engineer or engineering technologist to support the quality and engineering teams at Reidco, this position reports to the quality manager. This role will primarily support the quality department and perform final inspections on finished goods. In addition to inspection duties, working on tasks to improve our internal quality systems and process flow. This position will also assist our engineering team with setting up new parts, preparing work order folders containing shop instructions and revising parts when requested by our customers.
As Reidco supplies to the defense industry, candidates must be able to be controlled goods certified and pass a security check. Eligible candidates must also be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Job Responsibilities:
Quality:
Physical inspection of flat, welded, or formed sheet metal parts
Ensure compliance to internal standards and process’
Maintain a non-conformance database
Ability to work with operators to root cause non-conformances
Track non-conformances, recommending corrections to lead hands, supervisors and management
Adhere to strict quality guidelines as directed by our customers
Maintain calibration database
Push continuous improvement initiatives
Engineering:

This position can grow into positions such as Laser operator, Turret operator, Brake Press operator, Welder and shipper.
As a general labourer, you will wear many hats and have a variety of duties including, but not limited to:
- Grinding/cleaning metal parts

Schedule
Day shift: Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:30pm
Afternoon shift: Mon-Thurs, 2:15pm-12:30am (4x 10hour shifts, afternoon shift premium)
Reidco Metal Industries is looking for a Brake press operator to join our amazing team! This is a full-time permanent role on our production floor. We offer a competitive wage, profit-sharing program, and a great benefits package.
You will be responsible for:
- Safe set-up and operation of CNC Brake Presses
- Machine monitoring to ensure accurate output of parts that meet or exceed quality standards
- Measuring of parts to ensure quality requirements are achieved
- Operation of equipment in accordance with Health, Safety & Quality policies, and procedures
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience setting up and operating CNC Brake Presses
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawing specifications
- Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, protractors, square)
- Strong attention to detail
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Work well in a team environment
- Strong work ethic
- Forklift experience is an asset
Schedule
Day Shift: Mon-Fri, 6:00am-2:30pm
Afternoon shift: Mon-Thurs, 2:15pm-12:30am (4x 10hour shifts, afternoon shift premium)
Reidco Metal Industries is looking for a production welder to join our amazing team! This is a full-time permanent role on our production floor; Day and afternoon shifts available. We offer a competitive wage, profit-sharing program, and a great benefits package. We are in our brand new building with climate control, LED lighting and welding fume extraction right at your work bench.
As a production welder,
You will be responsible for:
- Safe set-up and operation of welding equipment
- Ensure accurate output of parts meeting or exceeding quality standards
- Measuring of parts to ensure customer quality requirements are achieved
- Operation of equipment in accordance with Health, Safety & Quality policies & procedures
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of C level certification with 1-2 years of experience
- Experience with Steel MIG welding technique
- Exceptional fitting skills for very tight tolerances
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Forklift experience is an asset
- We do in house CWB tickets and training, GMAW/GTAW

Day Shift: Mon-Fri, 6:00am-2:30pm
